Love Your Block is a nationwide high-impact service strategy that engages community members in revitalizing their neighborhoods, one block at a time. In February 2015, City of Phoenix was awarded a $30,000 grant by Cities of Service, to enact Love Your Block in low-to-moderate income neighborhoods in Phoenix, Arizona. The program provides competitive mini-grants to community groups to purchase supplies needed for a local, neighborhood project. In its first year of 2015-2016, neighborhood engagement, branding, and finding key stakeholders were crucial for the development of Love Your Block Phoenix.
